Kobelco’s longest serving dealer, Chesterfield Australia (formerly known as CA Construction), has increased their service and storage capacity while quickening delivery times for their Kobelco customers by moving into a new, purpose-designed facility.
Chesterfield Australia has relocated their flagship Brisbane operation to Freeman Road in Richlands, QLD, which offers a better layout for service, storage and accessibility.
With 12,000 square meters of land, 2,000 square metres of dedicated covered workshop space, and 10 equipment bays, Chesterfield Australia’s Sales Manager Michael Royle sees the new branch as a great leap forward.
“We’ve used some innovative design and layout approaches to maximise usable space in the new premise, which greatly increases our capacity,” said Michael.
“The layout of the workshop achieves a better flow of work and means work moves through the workshop faster, and there is a safer working environment for our workers.
“There are 10 equipment bays as well as a paint booth, wash bay and increased
parts storage. With the improved facilities, we have shortened the lead time between a sale being made and the machine being ready for delivery to a customer.
“There is access to all 10 bays if a customer wants to inspect a machine prior to delivery or while it is being worked on, and a separate heavy vehicle only access, our customers and staff can access the building with greater safety.
